Free Tax Filing Services We are a licensed Voluntary Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program and offer free basic tax return preparation for those who qualify. We offer free tax help to individuals who make $56,000 or less, persons with disabilities, and limited English-speaking taxpayers who need assistance in preparing their own tax returns. All volunteer tax preparers have completed training and passed a certification. The training includes standards to maintain the privacy and confidentiality of all taxpayer information. Getting Started To engage with us, you need to follow the three-step process. First, you will need to fill out Form 13614-C below. Second, you will need to schedule a phone interview with one of our agents to ensure we have all the necessary information and your form has been filled out correctly. Third, you will schedule an in-person visit with us at Carlmont High School and you must bring your identifying documentation (i.e. Passport, Driver's License, or ITIN card). We will review your return with you and you will sign your return.
